Meet the Team

Courtney – Senior Therapist

I began my career in the beauty industry with Lucy back in 2012.  Since then, together we have grown the business to its current status, where, in 2015, we became Brooke’s Beauty & Spa.  January 2017 presented the opportunity to expand the business to a second location, Brooke’s Beauty, based within Inspired Health and Fitness Club, in Waterbeach
Lash extensions are my expertise within the salon, although I really do enjoy performing all the services we offer
As much as I love my job, my other passion is travelling.  I’ve been lucky enough to visit many different countries and experience fun activities such as bungy jumping and paragliding.
Fun fact: I am a brown belt kickboxer and played football most Saturdays. My parents are very shocked that I now have such a girly job!

Lucy – Salon Manager

My role within the salon is being the “Boss Lady”. Although many would think this a hard job – it really isn’t, because the girls around me are a fantastic team, which makes it an easy one Originally from a banking background, I became fascinated with the nail industry back in 2002 when I qualified as a nail technician. Training in beauty therapy came some 2 years later, where I started the business from humble beginnings in the back of my garage. Our client base expanded year after year, and I am very proud to be the salon owner of Brooke’s Beauty & Spa, located in the tranquil village of Caldecote. The business has grown rapidly and we were thrilled to open our second salon in Waterbeach in January 2018, based within Inspired Health and Fitness Club.  We now have a team of 10 Beauty Therapists who are experts in their field, sharing our knowledge across both settings.

Fun fact: I was brought up on a pig farm and have successfully completed two static parachute jumps from 1800 feet!”

Lucy-Lou – Beauty Therapist

I was welcomed into the Brooke’s team in December 2017, where I have been lucky enough to watch it grow since.  All the girls are like my extended family
Nails and waxing are my favourite treatments to do, but I do enjoy carrying out all the services we offer.
Fun fact: I had the first “Brooke’s” baby and he’s a beautiful little boy.

Shannon – Senior Therapist

Brooke’s gave me the opportunity of work experience from Cambridge Regional College where I studied beauty therapy for 2 years.  I became a fully fledged member of the team in July 2017 after qualifying with flying colours
Miss Flexibility is my middle name – I enjoy carrying out all treatments within the salon, however, some would say I have magical hands when it comes to massage.
When I am not carrying out treatments, you will find me reorganising the salon or walking in the countryside!

Fun fact: Being the daughter of a mechanic – I can change a car tyre!!

Kiera – Beauty Therapist Apprentice

I am the youngest member of the Brooke’s family. I’m an apprentice studying at Cambridge Regional College  achieving my Level 3 in Beauty Therapy – where I won Beauty Apprentice of the Year!
I’ve always had a love for beauty, so I feel very lucky that I get to do this as my job and work with such lovely people
Nails are my favourite thing to  do.  You’ll never see me without mine done – I guess I  just don’t feel like me without them!  I’m always trying new designs and playing with different colours, where I really like being creative.
Fun fact:I have had amazing opportunities to travel to lots of beautiful places and experience exciting things like snorkelling in the Caribbean sea, riding segways and quad bikes, not to mention climbing volcanoes!

Joanne – Beauty Therapist

I joined the team in November 2019. Upon qualifying in Level 3 Beauty Therapy back in 2014 at Cambridge Regional College with Beth, Courtney, Naomi and Lucy-Lou, I then went on and did a further year of training in Level 2 Media Makeup.  Benefit Cosmetics offered me a job where I built up my reputation over a period of three years – but my true love was always for the beauty business.
I absolutely love to travel and a couple of my favourite places I have been to are Bali and Australia, where I did a jungle swing and swam with dolphins whilst surfing.
Fun fact: I am a trained gymnastics coach and can do the splits!

Hannah – Beauty Therapist

Hi I’m Hannah – the newest member of the Brooke’s team!  I have always had a very strong passion for beauty therapy since I was a little girl.  I love all aspects of the job, and particularly love the feeling of being able to help someone feel good about themselves.
All treatments are fun for me, but most of all waxing and nails.  Feet are also one of my specialities, where there is nothing better than giving a good pedicure!
Being a mum of two little girls, they certainly keep me busy when I am not at work.  Can’t wait to meet you all!
Fun fact: I have size 8 feet!

Laura – Beauty Therapist

I studied Beauty Therapy at Cambridge Regional College back in 2008, and have worked in the beauty industry for over thirteen years.  I still have the same love for it now as I did back then

Nails, massage and waxing are treatments that I particular enjoy, however, I am very happy with all aspects of the role within the salon

I have two beautiful children that I spend lots of my spare time with – always exploring and enjoying lots of days out when we can

Fun fact: When I was younger, dance was my passion. I attended lots of competitions and won many trophies.

Sam – Beauty Therapist

I have been working within the beauty industry since 2001 at a busy well established salon at a local gym – where I worked my way up from therapist to Salon Manager over a 15 year period.

I went on to have two gorgeous boys – eventually leaving salon life behind me but carrying on treatments as a mobile therapist around family life.

I have always had a passion for beauty.  At a very young age I knew I would fulfil my dream and become a beauty therapist.

I missed salon life far too much – so I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to become part of the Brooke’s team!

I love all things related to beauty within the industry,  however,  I have been known to have healing hands through massage and facials.

I believe massage is not just a luxury – it has many health benefits, where I promise to lift a weight off your shoulders!

When not at work you will find me making memories with my boys

Fun fact: I once stopped a fair ride at a festival for screaming to much, needless to say I’m a bit of a scaredy cat !

Hollie – Beauty Therapist

After always being interested in beauty therapy, I completed my training and have worked within the beauty industry for over nine years now.  I really do love every aspect of the job.

My favourite treatments are manicures and pedicures, because I get to be creative and can talk and really get to know all my lovely clients!

Fun fact: I can do the splits!
